Celebrate Fight Procrastination Day Every September 6
September 6 is Fight Procrastination Day. So if you’re reading this on Sept. 6, get the celebration started.
Now.
Yes, now.
No, not later.
Hello? … Start celebrating!
If you don’t get started soon, you’ll be celebrating on the 7th … Or the 8th .. Or not ‘till next year!
If you’re like most of us, you procrastinate at least part of the time. Or maybe you procrastinate about certain tasks. You know, the things you don’t really want to do. That’s pretty normal.
But some people procrastinate about just about everything. They miss pretty much every deadline, at school, work or just meeting friends. This can cause problems if it goes on too long.
So which kind of procrastinator are you? Here’s a fun little Procrastination Test to help you find out.
We couldn’t find any information about who started this day or when. Perhaps the founder is still procrastinating about announcing the day to the world.
Is Procrastination Always Bad?
Nope. Sometimes putting off something you don’t want to do gives you a chance to clear your mind and daydream. When you go back to your task, you might have some new insights on how best to get it done.
Productivity experts even recommend taking short walks to help improve your focus.

Ideas For Celebrating Fight Procrastination Day
Get out that to-do list you never seem to get around to and start checking things off!
Yes, now!
No, there’s no time for another cup of coffee or tea or a snack.
Get moving!
Seriously, once you start the momentum will keep you going. It just takes a little extra effort to get started.
But perhaps the one little bit of useful procrastinating you can do is to prioritize the tasks on your list. It’ll both help feed your need to procrastinate and help you actually do the most important stuff. A win-win!
If your most important task is a big one, break it down into manageable chunks. They’ll feel less overwhelming, and you’ll have an easier time convincing yourself that if you just get started it’ll be over quickly.
And when you’re done you’ll be proud of yourself for accomplishing something. You can keep that feeling of accomplishment and help it build on itself with a Done List. Unlike a to-do list, the longer your done list gets, the better you’ll feel!
Then you can treat yourself to a little reward.
